Artist Profile — Sarah Darling
Born in Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia, Sarah Darling now lives and works in Lismore in the Northern Rivers, New South Wales, Australia.
Darling holds a Bachelor of Design (Interior and Spatial Design) from the University of Technology Sydney (2013), and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Painting and Sculpture) from Southern Cross University / COFA / UNSW Art & Design (2019).
Darling’s painting practice is intuitive and her projects are largely material-led. Darling enjoys creating conversations between abstract forms and unconventional colour palettes. Often choosing to work on large-scale canvas, her works are as much about process as they are about outside inspiration.
