Artist Profile — Tim Reed

Tim Reed’s time spent travelling has allowed him to develop his distinct and personal eye for photography. His experience in design, travel and lifestyle orientated niches focuses on timeless imagery and an honest aesthetic, providing a fresh and exciting point of view. Reed’s work takes on a fine art approach, with emphasis on often overlooked and quieter scenes.

The ‘Waveform’ series of limited edition fine art photographic works was captured close to Tim Reed’s home in Cabarita Beach, New South Wales, during an East Coast low. In this series, Reed explores wind and waves as an art form and challenges perspective with an almost kaleidoscopic view.

His newest series of fine art photographic works — ‘ISLAND’ — was shot along the East Coast of Bali, Indonesia. An intrinsic part of his distinctive practice, Reed seeks out spaces and places that evoke quietness and stillness — this feeling echoing throughout each of his series. Each evocative image within ‘ISLAND’ pays homage to a subtle, hauntingly beautiful moment within Bali’s diverse, culturally-rich East Coast, and celebrates the deep peace to be found where the island meets the sea.

Most recently, Reed’s limited-edition photographic works have been procured for private collections across Australia and internationally.
